A taste of Saigon

After a hectic few days flying through airports and stopping in cities, I finally arrived in HCMC. I realize that I don't have to be in Hanoi to feel like home. The Southern atmosphere also gives me the same sense of cosiness and familiarity. Within this teeming metropolis, real estate development is unconstrained, resulting in tightly packed blocks with narrow lanes, multiple shops, and heavy congestion. The city is hustling and bustling.

I'm currently interning for UEPP, an organization established and funded by the European Union to assist Vietnam with improving the quality of urban planning and making planning more responsive to local needs. I was surprised on my first day to meet so many foreigners from all over the world in the office. By default, I become the local expert in their eyes :)
