It's hard to believe that a year had gone by, and it felt like yesterday when we were soaking the Vietnam heat and humidity, scooting around, trying to get ready for the wedding.
First time is always a charm. Our very first wedding anniversary was beyond special! as we got to celebrate it with our lovely Mun and my dearest sister.
I never thought that we would do any kind of celebration because with Mun, it's virtually impossible to spend the whole evening out. Parents with infants will concur with me that we arrange our life around the kids' schedule, not the other way around.
But with his genius last minute planning, Huy surprised Mun, my sister and I with a dinner treat at a beautiful Italian restaurant in a secluded corner of Sommerville. I got to fill my tummy with mussels delicious Chilean seabass, , and tiramisu. We left the restaurant with an intensified sense of satisfaction.
"Rush" is the word that best described the night. I rushed to finish feeding Mun the bottle, rice cereal and sweet potatoes, Huy rushed to get the Zipcar, we rushed to get to the restaurant, rushed to order, rushed to eat, and rushed to leave.
But it is exactly the fleeting nature of these moments that makes them so precious...
